The Alberta Government does not have enough money to pay for all the services it provides for the people of Alberta. What should the government do?
Here are some ideas Albertans have proposed:
- cut spending on services, Albertans will just have to make do with less
- raise taxes for everyone, all Albertans should have to pay for the services they get
- raise taxes for those that make more money, we need to provide services to Albertans that cannot afford to pay more taxes
- borrow money and go into debt, Albertans do not want to pay more and we cannot cut services
- have a provincial sales tax to make more money for the government to pay for services

ReplyDeletei think the rich people should pay more taxes cause they have billions of money and we don't have as much as them. so i think they should pay more taxes then people that don't have much as them.

ReplyDeleteI think they should only expand things if they need to. Like if there are not enough schools for everybody they should make more, but if there are enough for everybody they should.

ReplyDeleteI think that rich people should pay more taxes than us because they have billions of dollars and we do not have as much money so there for I think that they can get charged a tad bit more. My opinion on the new rink is... the should not make a second one because then in a few years they will have to pay to fix that one as well.
ReplyDeleteI think that the LRT be expanded only half of what they are bulding. Because in the summer some people can ride bikes and in winter we have snow.

ReplyDeleteI think we should raise taxes for rich people and not for everyone because people who have less money mite not be able to pay for the extra taxes. We mite also want to expand the LRT, but just by a little bit because that way people can go where they want but it won't cost lots and lots of money. Expanding the LRT will save gas and its Eco-friendly.
