The Alberta Government does not have enough money to pay for all the services it provides for the people of Alberta. What should the government do?
Here are some ideas Albertans have proposed:
- cut spending on services, Albertans will just have to make do with less
- raise taxes for everyone, all Albertans should have to pay for the services they get
- raise taxes for those that make more money, we need to provide services to Albertans that cannot afford to pay more taxes
- borrow money and go into debt, Albertans do not want to pay more and we cannot cut services
- have a provincial sales tax to make more money for the government to pay for services
